Electrical contractors delivering a full M&E package at Maidstone Innovation Centre have opted for Univolt's SLR trunking with a light grey lid.
Working Environmental is working as part of the Rydon Construction supply chain and is installing Univolt's SLR trunking solution throughout.
The new 30,000sq ft office facility is due for completion this summer and has been designed to create space for SMEs in the life science, healthcare and med-tech sectors. The project has been driven by the local council who are keen to encourage more people to start their med-tech businesses in Maidstone, considered the business capital of Kent.
Steve Davis of Univolt commented: “Our SLR product is perfect for this type of modern, clean environment with its bright white aesthetic and curved profile, achieving DDA compliance through the addition of a light grey lid.
“We’ve worked closely with the team at Working Environmental to ensure that they make the perfect specification for this great project.”
The site is located within the Kent Medical Campus, just off Junction 7 of the M20. Maidstone Borough Council is reinvesting over £5.2m in recovered business rates from the enterprise zone into the building.
